While we're walking along the road in Gion, my eyes caught a sight of characters which stories had only been known to me from books and movies. I got stunned for a while, as the taxi that carried them passed and turn by the crossroad. Suddenly, when I was about to catch up with my friends, a taxi stopped in front of me. It's the taxi I saw just before. And by surprise, two beautiful ladies came out from the taxi, walking to the restaurant in front of them in a hurry that they forgot to close the taxi door. They were Maiko, young women who are trained to be a Geiko, or perhaps has been known to public by the name of Geisha, women that masters traditional Japanese arts in singing and dancing. Here in my country, they might be close to what we call Sinden. Someday I want to go back to see them sing and dance.
